Art Of Dying @ Snake River Festival 7/30/22

The "Art of Dying "is a Canadian rock band from Vancouver, formed in 2004 by lead singer Jonny Hetherington they were on the line up for the 2011 Rock Hard at The Arena in Spokane and toured other festivals that year with Avenge Sevenfold. Art of Dying is back and you can catch them live at Snake River Fest in Lewiston, ID this summer July 30th, check out their new music this year. AOD Co headlining with Black Top Mojo.

Rock$tarzz Hospitality Promotionz had been working on getting The Art of Dying booked at the Snake River Festival for a year now. It all started last summer when I talked to Tavis Stanley who was playing lead guitar for" Adelitas Way" based out of Las Vegas. Tavis originally with" Art of Dying "and we were looking at either "Adelitas Way" or Art of Dying to be booked for the event. We tried to get it all set up for last year but it was to late in the season and the bands had been booked so we started early to get either band booked.

Snake River Fest is the first show in 5 years since The Art of Dying had performed a live concert. Tavis flew into Spokane on Friday bringing with him the drummer and bass player and Johnny drove down from Canada with another member filling in for Cale Gontier who was out touring with "Saint Asonia".

The band had not been together to practice for a long time and needed to practice before the show. We got them reserved to practice at the School of Rock in CDA, ID for a couple hours, really it's called "The North Idaho Rock School" but I had to reference the movie lol. The Art of Dying made a stop at the Rock School did a 2 hour practice and we're ready to go then continued 2 more hours driving to Lewiston to rest up before the show on Saturday.

It was a hot one the day of the festival and being in Lewiston down in the valley it is always at least 5 degrees warmer than Spokane. The show started around 1PM in 110 degree heat. Luckily AOD went on about 7:30PM and it had cooled down a few degrees by then. Many had asked the band how they came up with the name Art of Dying? The answer as I understood it is the way you live your life is the Art of Dying so live it well. Here are some shots of this amazing band AOD and you can check out our live videos of the show posted here or on our Facebook page. Remember you can't download a live concert experience so buy your tickets and make your own memories not someone else's.
