GARTH BROOKS & TRICIA YEARWOOD WORLD TOUR SPOKANE ARENA NOVEMBER 12, 2017

What a beautiful afternoon to attend the Garth Brooks & Tricia Yearwood concert at the Spokane Arena. The sun was shining on this beautiful fall day on November 12th, 2017. Garth Brooks has been in Spokane since his first sold-out show on Thursday and he was still going strong today. Garth Brooks is performing 7 sold-out shows here in town with his wife Tricia Yearwood and Sunday's 3 o'clock afternoon show was his 5 in town.

Garth has been making special appearances all over Spokane since he has been here. He did a press conference with a local country music radio station along with trips to Freeman school to show his support after the horrible school shooting last month and was also at Gonzaga for the support of team sports. Wouldn't it be great just to run into him on the streets while he is here? It's still a possibility he will be here for 2 more days I'm going to be keeping my eyes peeled lol.

Attending the Garth Brooks concert was a bucket list must-see show, I had never seen Garth live before and I was not going to miss it. I had missed a couple bucket list shows and now I will not ever have a chance to see those artist play again due to passing and I was not going to miss my chance on this show no matter what I had to do to get a ticket? The show was sold out but I took a chance and called to verify and inquire on tickets the night before in hopes some seats had opened up and low and behold I was in luck there just happened to be a few available seats so I jumped at the chance to get to go to this incredible show even if it meant over-drafting my bank account.

When I arrived at the 3 o'clock show I was a little late I stopped for a photo op with our local country music station 99.9 to get a quick shot with the Garth cut out in hopes of meeting the real Garth Brooks but just in case I didn't, this would have to do, before proceeding into the arena for the show. I think I missed no more than 2 songs? I went straight to the section printed on my ticket, I was able to get a great seat despite the last minute purchase. I was blown away by Garth's powerful performance he puts his whole heart and soul into his show. There is so much passion he is so gracious and sincere Garth is the real deal and all around nice guy.

My meeting with Garth Brooks lol.

Garth took the first half of the show and then Tricia joined in midway after "The Thunder Rolls to the song "In Another's Eyes", sporting a Kiss t-shirt. Tricia performed about 4 numbers and even had the writer of one of her songs join in singing with her for the first time. Tricia's last solo song was, "She's In Love With The Boy", she jokes before she starts that if you happen to be at the show with someone maybe you are not supposed to be with you might want to sit this one out as they would have the kiss camera searching out unsuspecting couples during the song, another great moment in this already spectacular concert. While Tricia was performing Garth did not even bat an eye and stood back as part of the band. Then Garth joined back in they both introduced the band most had been with them since the early 90's, Garth goes on to say howTricia had been his first opening act.

Garth is truly one of the coolest performers I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing live I am so glad I found a way to attend this show. For a Sunday afternoon, we blew all the other shows out of the water. Garth interacted with the audience throughout the almost 3-hour long set. During the encore, he was reading some of the signs the audience had been holding up. One of those signs said please sing "Mom" for my son Taylor. Garth actually had a conversation with this person in the crowd to find out her son had passed and would have been 26 if he was here today. He sang the song for Taylor it was beautiful. Other encore, performances, "Ireland", and he had to call the band back up on stage for "I'm Too Young To Feel This Damn Old".

I don't know where he gets all that energy from? He still had another show to perform in just a couple hours after this one ends? I am sure he feeds off the energy of the crowd, but wow what a true performer. Despite the little mishap at the CMA's the night before he was to put on his first concert out of 7 here in Spokane to admitting to lip syncing to save his voice for the shows here in town there definitely was no lip syncing going on today.

Garth ended his set with one of my favorite songs "The Dance" he puts all of his emotion into his songs he literally puts his heart on a plate for all to see he actually teared up during his performance of the song it was amazing. There was a gal in the front row with a sign saying she had cancer so Garth being the caring person he is, grabs her cell phone takes a couple of selfies and hands it back to her. You can also see in one of my videos he rubs her head and at the end of the performance he hands her his guitar, now how cool is that?

The gal that received Garth Brooks guitar.

The crowd joined in on "Friends in Low Places", this song brings back some memories for sure. I was at a local country club way back in the 90's when the band performing that night played the song, as the song ended a guy came off the dance floor and slammed a beer bottle into the ground and glass went flying practically in our faces. I just happened to mention that he should get kicked out of the bar for it and my brother's friend took it as someone should kick his you know what? So that is exactly what he did and it turned out to be a big old fashion barroom brawl. I ended up getting dragged out of there by 5 bouncers, yes it took that many lol. Needless to say, I was offered a security position at the club just a week or so later.

Garth Brooks (Friends In Low Places)

I just can't get over what a great show Garth Brooks and Tricia Yearwood put on? if you have a chance to see this concert when they come to your town I recommend to go see it no matter what you have to do? Put it on your calendar and put away money in your Garth fund it is totally worth every cent and then some and the cool thing is at the Spokane concert all seats were the same price it was first to come first serve so anyone had a chance at getting front row without having to pay hundreds of dollars like you would at a lot of shows. You really get your money's worth and you will leave feeling inspired like I did.

Entertainer of the year Garth Brooks and when they say entertainer they really mean it by the truest sense of the word. After seeing his show yesterday I think he deserves entertainer of a lifetime Garth truly knows what the fans want to see and he delivers it full force. Garth is wrapping up his 7 sold out shows he is taking today off and will play his last Spokane concert on Tuesday night. Every city he has stopped in on the World Tour he has at least done 5 shows if not more. Spokane will be sad to see him go Garth is like family here and a true inspiration. Come back soon Garth, don't take so long next time.
