I have to say the Scorpions still have it after all these years, it was like I stepped back in time to the 80's. The Scorpions with Clause Meine leading the band still sounds as great as he ever did and then there is Rudolph Schenker running all over the stage tearing up the guitar as if time had stood still. This was the 4th time I had witnessed this amazing band live the first time was almost 30 years ago for The Monsters of Rock Tour with Van Halen, Dokken, Metallica, and Kingdom Come. Then there was that summer they played the 4th of July weekend at Spokane Raceway Park and the day after the concert some friends and myself were at CDA lake to bbq and watch the firework show when Clause Meine and the rest of the Scorpions cruised past us on a Yaught waving at all of us on the beach. What a great end to that very memorable weekend, priceless. Then there was that time I saw them live at the old Spokane Coliseum and afterward stopped off to keep the celebration going. I just so happened to stop at the hotel in which the band was staying for the night, as luck would have it. I was exiting the restroom and ran smack dab into Mathias Jabbs, he then asked me if I would like to dance? It took a few seconds as I gathered my wits as to what just happened as Mr. Jabbs took my hand and twirled me around then we went into the lounge for a cocktail and talked until we both had to leave I sure wish I could remember our conversations word for word but I am grateful I got to live the experience, that is what great memories are made of.

The Scorpions did a great tribute to the late Lemmy Kilmister and displayed the American flag proudly during their set even though the band is from Germany it was nice to see the respect.

After the show I was chatting with a fan as I always do, this kid was still in shock from what he had just witnessed? He told me he had never seen guitar playing like that in his life it was truly amazing. The Scorpions are known for their all-star guitar extravaganzas at their concerts from days past and I am glad to say they are still belting them out today.

Some people were at the show to see one or the other band specifically, I myself was there mainly to see the Scorpions since it had been 27 years and I thought it about time. I was also looking forward to seeing Megadeath as I had not had the pleasure of seeing their live show. Although Megadeath put on a sold and tight performance there seemed to be some technical and sound issues during the Megadeath set I had to listen at times very close to even recognize what song was being performed? I am glad I can say I have now seen Dave Mustaine and Megadeath in action.

I was going to leave this out of my review but I thought it was worth a mention as I would not be reporting the events of the show accurately if I did not? I have heard from many about the security personnel at the arena and how the concert goers refer to them as the Nazi Police? I have had run in with them as well at shows even though I am there just to document the concert and I try to do everything by the book as I was once one of the security personnel in question. I go through the proper steps to see if I can get a press pass to these shows as it gets expensive to document them all but if all else fails I have to resort to plan B. Security was on me like flies if I even stepped out into the aisle a little bit just to get around the obstacle in front of me blocking my shot. I don't know how some of these people can sneak past as I always get stopped if I try? Maybe it's because I'm just that noticeable? lol. Don't they know who I am? I have had a few run-ins with them at concerts and I have not mentioned it before so I thought it about time I let you all know. I am at these show on assignment for the music companies I write and am a photojournalist for not to mention my own promotion company we are forced to do what we have to to get the live action story that otherwise might be missed.

All in all this concert was off the hook and possibly the last world tour you will see the Scorpions perform? You can now check it off your bucket list and say you witnessed these 2 amazing bands live and have the memories to last a lifetime. Buy those concert tickets because you never know when it could be your last chance then you can say, "I came, I saw, I conquered".
