Northern Quest Resort and Casino was buzzing with country fans of all ages Friday night August 18, 2017, to the sold out Keith Urban Ripcord Tour for the Summer Outdoor Concert Series. Opening the show was a up-coming young country artist Devin Dawson. It didn't take long for this concert to sell out once the tickets went on sale I don't think it was even a week before they were gone? Fans came from near and far to see the country icon and Urban thanked the audience many times during the night for traveling so far to see him perform.

Keith Urban has always been a favorite of mine and I was honored to document the show from the front row. Urban really loves his fans and has so much passion in his performance, he delivers to his fans with his whole heart and soul. He has so much energy and enthusiasm on stage and his multi talented switching from an amazing guitar solo to playing the banjo is incredible. Keith Urban is nearing 50 in a few months but his stunning good looks and toned body are of that of a much younger age, the years have been kind, music and doing what you love really does help keep you young.

The Nitro World Finals were going on at Spokane Raceway Park just directly behind the casino and the stage you could hear the roar of the engines over the music at times throughout the concert and Urban took it all in with a laid-back attitude almost enjoying it.

Urban opened the show with the song "Long Hot Summer" fitting for an outdoor summer concert. He played high-energy songs such as "The Fighter" and transitioned to ballads like "Blue Ain't Your Color", then went onto play "Break on Me", "Somewhere in My Car", to "Love Somebody Like You", also performed was "You Look Good in my Shirt", and "Wasted Time". Urban came out for an encore and played an acoustic version of "Making Memories of Us" where he dedicated the ballad to his wife. He played a solid 2 and a half hours of hit after hit. After Urban's last song of the night, he took the time to sign a few posters for fans and high five people as he exited the stage, I happened to be one of those lucky fans.

There were some technical difficulties at the beginning of the show where Keith Urban's microphone was not working correctly that is why it is hard to hear the vocals in this song. The situation was remedied promptly.

There was also a sweet 16 birthday in the house, Urban invited the birthday girl up on stage signed her banner and gave her a hug. If that wasn't enough later in the show as Urban jumped off stage to a platform toward the back of the crowd and exclaimed how everybody instantly got front row seats. Proof how much Keith Urban loves his fans he signed his guitar he was playing and handed it to the gal whose sweet 16th birthday in the house, Samantha Raynor, (who I later at the end of the show I talked with about the experience), how cool is that? What great memories she will cherish and have to last a lifetime.

Keith Urban's signature guitar he autographed and gave a fan for her sweet 16th birthday.

If you were one of the lucky ones who purchased your ticket to the Keith Urban show before they sold out then you got to see the best concert of the summer. Keith Urban has that country sound with a rock n roll attitude and puts on one of the best stage performances you could ever see.
