Appetite For Deception Tribute to Guns & Roses With Guests Hair Nation

I traveled across the Cascades to the west side of the state this past weekend for a little business and a little pleasure. It had been awhile since I was in the Seattle area, my destination was The Lime Sports Bar in Kirkland to catch the Appetite For Deception and Hair Nation show set for Saturday May 13th, 2017. We arrived around 7:30 to the club, early of our planned 8:00. I really didn't know what to expect when we pulled into the parking lot of The Lime as the venue is in a small mini mall combined of a couple other businesses. This night was UFC championship fight night and when we arrived the venue was full of sport enthusiasts, luckily I had reserved a table a week before the trip so we were seated right away.

The fights wrapped up around 10:00 and the venue just kept filling up even more toward show time standing room only. I was really impressed with the venue, nice size venue and stage area for the bands to rock out on, the only thing I might make bigger would be the dance floor to make room for more hard core music enthusiasts to rock out with the band. The venue staff were right on the ball making sure everyone was taken care of out of probably over 300 people packed into the club. If we were out of anything they were right there to accommodate, very friendly staff, great food and drink specials and rocking music makes for a great night out with friends and family.

I had contacted Appetite for Deception months prior inquiring on them possibly doing a show in Spokane for Rock$tarzz Hospitality Promotions, I wanted to check them out live and up close. I was really blown away by this band, Axl Rose is no easy feet to pull off but Mark Thomas lead vocals for Appetite for Deception killed it, the vocals were spot on and he had the exact same moves and the Axl sway dance down perfectly. Appetite for Deception is based out of Salem, OR and members include Michael "Izzy" Killian, Brandon "BC Slash" Cook, Andrew "Andrew Sorum" Greene, WWS "Duff McLuvin", and Mark "Axl M" Thomas. You get the full Guns & Roses experience with this tribute band Appetite for Deception, go check them out when ever you get a chance you won't be disappointed these guys are that good.

Hair Nation from Kirkland, WA opened the show to a full house I had just had them play a show for Rock$tarzz Hospitality Promotions a few weeks before in Spokane and this was a chance for me to catch them on their home turf.
