Video capturing Bach riding his guitarist before, "I Remember You" starts and also calling out some fans on stage left.
I'm not sure where to start to really get the gist of this show? There were so many problems at the beginning just to get the show off the ground. The Holloween Bash with Buckcherry and Sebastian Bach was initially scheduled as an outdoor event at Boomers Gardens in Lewiston, ID put on by Black Ice Entertainment. An outdoor concert at the end of October in the Pacific Northwest is a bit out of the ordinary since we have had snow on Halloween in the past. I was informed by some locals that the show was going to be in a covered tent, which would have worked perfectly, it was raining off and on but the temperature was tolerable for an outdoor concert. The original promoter canceled the show the day before it was to take place for undisclosed reasons so the venue owner picked up the show at the last minute to try and salvage it for all the fans. Lewiston, ID was just the second show on The Wild!/Sebastien Bach/Buckcherry North American Tour the first show started at The Clearwater Casino in Suquamish, WA the night before.

The owner and manager of the Boomtown American Saloon in Lewiston, Idaho picked up the show without a promoter and decided to do it on his own. I made sure to call the venue before making the 2 hour trip to Lewiston for a concert I was not sure would even take place? I spoke to Jay Starnes, owner of the venue and was informed there were some sound issues they were trying to work out and to call back, they weren't sure they could get them worked out for the show to go on as planned? I called back as we were about to leave town and spoke to the manager, she told me that there was still going to be a show but that Buckcherry had decided not to play since it was not a big enough venue they were promised among other obvious reasons. The venue was still generous enough to comp me my entrance into the show so I could write my concert review. We decided to make the trip and catch the show even though Buckcherry had canceled their performance, there were still 4 great bands performing.

Sebastian Bach was now the headlining act, I have to give Bach credit on this one for sticking it out and doing the show as to Buchcherry bailed but that is where it ends. There were still sound issues throughout the show and Bach had no problem voicing it. He mentioned during the show how each concert was different and that their show in Seattle was insane in comparison. I saw Bach in a club in Seattle in 2015 and now this one in Lewiston and both times I have been disappointed? Not only were there problems with the small venue in Seattle to sound problems, to over- crowding, to Bach showing up late and an incident during the Seattle show in 2015? Now this show in Lewiston. Granted the issues with the venue and sound is not at all Bach's fault but how he handles the situation is, I can say, however, that Bach's a riot just blurting out the F bomb in the middle of the song like he had Tourettes was almost comical? My main issue with Bach is he was one of my favorite singers, I categorized him as one of the best up there with Miljenko Matijevic of Steelheart and Spokane's own Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge, the years have been kind to both of them and they can still hit the high notes. Both shows that I have witnessed Bach's performance I have noticed he seems not to put much effort into it? I don't know if his voice just can't hit those amazing high notes he was known for in his younger years or if he just does not put forth the energy and effort anymore? His stage performance is also lacking. I haven't given up on him yet, maybe it is just coincidence that both of the shows I have ever seen him in turned out this way? I am still going to see him perform again and maybe next time he will blow my mind? I can only hope.
Brent Woods

Bach was to play until 11:00 but his set was cut short after an incident between Bach and Brent Woods, lead guitar for the band, finally got tired of Bach's insults publicly bashing him and asking if he had forgotten how to play the songs. Brent walked off the stage with Sebastian right behind him brushing against my arm as they left the stage, and finished the show with a bang, so to speak, never a dull moment.

Bach's drum kit enclosed in pexiglass, I wonder what that is all about? Maybe they thought there would be a riot? I do know it didn't make for better sound quality during the show.

The Wilds should have actually headlined the show, they were so full of energy and brought it to the stage, the guys in The Wild are real troopers and put the effort into their performance no matter the circumstances, they ROCKED! This was the first time I had seen them perform and they killed it. I am hoping to get them to do a show for me in Spokane, WA. The Wilds are a 4 piece rock band from Kelowna, British Columbia, members include Dylan Villain - lead guitar & vocals, The Kid - rhythm guitar, Lucas 'Boozus' - bass & vocals, Reese Lightning - drums. I ended up getting hit in the head with a drumstick during The Wilds set when Reese tossed a stick out into the crowd, I didn't even get the prize after paying the price (ha ha).
The Wilds.

Also performing in this lineup was Garden of Eden a rock n roll band from Portland, OR, and Unconfined a 3 piece Lewiston local band, with members Ian Smith, Victor Flowers, Lucas Hebert. Both these bands sets were cut short with only performing 3 songs each. Make sure to check these bands out, they stepped up to the plate and rocked the house.

This show was to be a big event with over 600 attendees but after all the issues to get this concert off the ground there were probably a little over 100 patrons at the show many wanted refunds after Buckcherry canceled and that's a whole other story? I had heard that these 2 national acts were just performing for what the door took in? Since when do national acts just play for the door? Not in my experience anyway. I would have booked them a show in Spokane that would have been killer if I could have got a deal like that.
Quite an eventful night for the venue and staff, for the bands performing and the fans attending this show, I am sure everyone involved will remember this one for a long time. Even with all the issues, this show had, the fans were still enjoying the show with great enthusiasm and rocking out. This show had many problems, more than most but it sure makes for a great story. As they say, the show must go on. Until the next rocking concert, support your local music venues and all musicians so we can continue to bring awesome concerts your way. Take it easy and keep it real.**Peace**js*
