Hysteria Ultimate Def Leppard Tribute With Vain Halen & Jackhammer: All-Star Tribute Concert

The All-Star Tribute concert rocked the Roadhouse Spokane's hot spot Friday night October 21, 2016. Headlining the show was a little band with a big sound from Seattle, WA Hysteria Ultimate Def Leppard Tribute. Also on the bill was Spokane natives Vain Halen Tribute to Van Halen and Jackhammer paying tribute to the late, great Ronnie James Dio & Iron Maiden.

Spokane was in for a treat to have Hysteria Def Leppard Tribute play here for the very first time and they received a rock star welcome from the fans in the Lilac City. I was hoping to be at the venue when the guys arrived since I had only talked to them through email and social media, I wasn't sure I would recognize them without all their gear on? Needless to say by the time I arrived the band had already done load in and sound check and went back to the hotel. Later in the venue there were so many people I tried to see if I could spot them but they found me and sure enough I don't think I would have recognize them especially in the crowd.

Hysteria blew me away the first time I heard them, believe it or not, I saw a video of them on a friends timeline and I knew I had to get them to come and play for us. Hysteria sounds so close to the real Def Leppard it is unreal and they also pull off the look, you get the whole package with these guys the real Def Leppard experience. Hysteria plays all your favorite Def Leppard tunes with high energy stage performances. The crowd anticipation was building then Hysteria finally took the stage and with their opening song I saw jaws drop in how awesome these guys sound, how spot on they are to the real Def Leppard. Even though I knew how great Hysteria is and I had heard their videos nothing compares to a live show, even I had to stop for a moment to take it all in. Hysteria is based out of the Seattle area and members include Shawn Worra - Vocals (Joe Elliott), Doug Cisler - Guitar (Phil Collen), Dan Kehoe - Guitar (Steve Clark), Marco Lago - Bass (Rick Savage), Vance Nurkala - Drums (Rick Allen). You don't want to miss this show when it comes to a venue near you, they are crazy good. These guys are so nice and humble and a pleasure to work with, they thanked me on many occasions for all the work I did on the show, it is so nice to be acknowledged for what you do once in a while it makes it all worth it.

Spokane's own mighty Vain Halen Tribute to Van Halen co-headlined the show and played all your favorite Van Halen songs from the good ole days of rock n roll. They are one of the only Van Halen Tributes in the Pacific Northwest, with Matt Smith channeling Eddie Van Halen shredding on the lead guitar, Russ Rosenbalm pounding the skins as Alex Van Halen, Dave McClave thumping on the Jack Daniels bass guitar as Michael Anthony and Mark Mood belting out Diamond David Lee Roth himself on vocals, you will want to make sure to catch their next show.

Jackhammer (Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Iron Maiden Cover)

jackhammer opened the show jamming some old school metal with Ronnie James Dio, and Iron Maiden. The band had been on a break for over a year but came back with a bang. With Robert Howes screaming guitar solos,I have never heard or seen anything like it, Kip Gilbert's fierce vocals,Chris Kryzda's pulsating drum beats, and Joel Zivic's thumping bass you'll be left wanting more. You will definitely be seeing more of Jackhammer in the near future so make sure you check them out.

The bands played to a full house and the show ran as smooth as wine with no major issues which was a nice change, The lights and sound at The Roadhouse are the best around, the show was off the hook all the bands killed it.
