Rock The Valley Music Festival & Haster with Roots Like Mountains

It's been a busy week of concerts, from traveling to Seattle for Sebastian Bach on Wednesday then returning to Spokane for a day and having my son's 18th birthday party on Friday.....My bands cancelled on me for the show I had been promoting for a couple of months for Saturday at TheCheckerboard Bar, so I went to Lewiston to see Quiet Riot, Great White with Jack Russell and LA Guns....then traveled back to Spokane to go scout out some local bands on Sunday afternoon, I ended up checking out the 2 bands that were scheduled for the show I got booted from at the Checkerboard on Saturday when my bands cancelled, even though I had gotten replacements quickly....the other promoter had already booked a replacement....maybe it was a blessing in disguise? I was then able to catch the show in Lewiston that I wanted to see before all of this came about.

I caught Haster and Roots Like Mountains at the Viking on Sunday night, and I was really impressed....There were only a handful of people there but that is just how the music scene is in Spokane on a Sunday night when people work the next day.....personally myself, I would have put up with being a little tired at work the next day to see this show....both bands killed it and put on a great show even though there were only a few people there....the show was free and was over by 11 pm, early enough for all you workaholics. So if you didn't go to either the free show at The Checkerboard on Saturday night or the free show at The Viking on Sunday night to check out these two great bands? you really missed a great show....especially since Halestorm cancelled their show on Saturday due to illness at the Knitting Factory. It would have given all of you a great concert and something to do, that had stubs for Halestorm...I'm going to just re-coop for the next couple of days before I host my RockStarzz Karaoke on Wednesday at The Flame-N-Fox, and edit all my pictures...I hope everyone had a great weekend?
